About Camp PT

At Camp PT, we believe in providing highly-skilled pediatric physical therapy services in a fun and engaging outdoor environment. Our goal is to make physical therapy an enjoyable experience for children while helping them achieve their full potential.

Camp Format

Camp PT holds one on one PT sessions in 4 week camps. Each camp consists of 8 sessions held 2x/week.

  • 55 minute 1:1 sessions

  • 2x per week

  • 4 weeks long

  • 8 sessions total

Locations

Camp PT sessions are held in a specific location for each 4 week camp.  Each location is set to encourage a specific outdoor activity.

Some location options:

  • Hiking Trail

  • Playground

  • Lake

  • River

Participants

​Camps are intended for kids aged 0-21 with physical impairments, developmental disabilities or chronic or progressive diagnosis. All camps are intended for all abilities and will be altered to meet your child where they are at.

Dr. Alyssa Lawson PT, DPT

Founder, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Alyssa is a skilled physical therapist and avid outdoors women. She received her undergrad degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University, then her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in Philadelphia in 2019. During PT school she completed a 6 month internship in pediatrics and has worked in home care pediatrics for multiple years. 

 

Alyssa grew up in Boulder, CO playing outside. She was a highly competitive freestyle skier and continues to coach skiing on the weekends. While living in Philly for PT school, she enjoyed surfing the Jersey Shore and now continues to river surfing in Colorado.

She finds joy in recreating outside and hopes to help kids find that same joy!
